Vap Construction, Inc. had the privilege of mentoring three part time student interns working in their office over the summer, learning about business operations and assisting with special projects, including a big data conversion.
“These girls have worked extremely hard over the summer learning all about how we operate here at Vap, along with helping with several projects”, said Vap Co-Owner, Linda Young-Vap “We loved having them and we are very thankful for each of their contributions to our team this past summer.”
Meet Vap’s Summer Interns
Aimee Merrill is in her second year at Fort Hays State University, double majoring in Interior Design and Marketing. Her future goals consist of obtaining her real estate license to become a real estate agent, along with starting her own E-Interior Design company in the future. Merrill is an active member of her school's Interior Design Student Association, Intramurals, and the Nation Society of Leadership and Success groups.
Payton Smith is in her Senior year at Rawlins County High School. After graduation, Payton plans to move back to Arizona to attend the Aveda Institute of Phoenix. Smith is active in many school activities, including Cheerleading (second-year team captain), FFA, Show Choir, Student Council, and FCA (Fellowships of Christian Athletes).
Amira Hernandez is currently a Junior at Rawlins County High School. Amira plans to study Psychology at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, after completing High School. Hernandez is currently involved in Volleyball, Cheerleading, FFA, SPAM, Show Choir, and FCA.
