BENEFITS OF SPRAY FOAM

Spray foam insulation has numerous benefits, both for your building and for your bank account.

1

Studies have shown that spray foam can reduce your monthly energy bill by up to 50%, saving you up to $51,000 in your lifetime.

2

Spray foam provides a complete air seal, meaning that no exterior dirt or dust can get in. It will also greatly reduce wind noise.

3

2 inches of closed-cell spray foam is a moisture barrier,  meaning that your entire building will be completely waterproof.

TWO TYPES OF SPRAY FOAM

There are two different types of spray foam insulation, each offering its own advantages for your construction project.

CLOSED-CELL SPRAY FOAM

Closed-cell spray foam, which is named for its molecular structure, is most commonly found in larger, commercial buildings. Because of its dense makeup, closed-cell spray foam provides an excellent seal on a building, creating a complete air and moisture barrier. Energy-efficient and virtually weather-proof, this variation of spray foam is ideal for outdoor, metal buildings that are constantly exposed to the elements.

OPEN-CELL SPRAY FOAM

Open-cell spray foam, which is named for the open structure of its molecules, is most commonly used in smaller, residential construction projects. Compared to closed-cell, open-cell spray foam is significantly cheaper and uses fewer resources throughout the process of its application. However, drawbacks include reductions in energy efficiency and a less effective seal. This type of spray foam is best suited for smaller, less energy-intensive buildings.
