Vap Completes Annual Continuing Education for NFBA Accreditation

Updated: Feb 15, 2022

Recently, some of the Vap staff were able to attend the annual National Frame Building Association (NFBA) Frame Building Expo in Nashville, Tennessee. The event was hosted over three days where staff were able to sit in on sessions over a variety of educational sessions including, business management, sales and marketing, safety and technical knowledge, as well as take time to spend on the expo floor.

NFBA has existed for over 40 years with a mission to lead and support its members to promote and expand their post-frame construction projects. They do this through education, growth opportunities, and advocacy. They have a member accreditation program that requires constant learning and a commitment to excellence.

Accreditation is a difficult, but worthwhile process that requires education upfront as well as yearly continuing education. Linda Young-Vap, Co-Owner for Vap Construction is on the NFBA Board of Directors for NFBA. She, along with other industry leaders, has been diligently working over the last year to develop a new accreditation curriculum textbook. By obtaining accreditation customers can know that their NFBA builder will be knowledgeable, safe, and up to quality standards set by NFBA.

Outside of the Expo, the team enjoyed staff bonding over food, drinks, and Nashville outings. The team particularly enjoyed being downtown enjoying the music and talent the city has to offer.
